Helping Minds

The primary objective of Helping Minds (HM) is to provide quality guidance and support to the poor people for fulfilling their basic necessities and obtaining good education. HM identifies and evaluates the economically challenged but brilliant students and sponsor their education. HM has been registered as "Public Charitable Trust". The trust has been granted deductions in respect of donations under sec 80G of the Income tax Act 1961, in the hands of the donors.

Water tank for Avanippoor Government school

'Avanippoor' is a remote village around 120 kms from Chennai. The school has around 1000+ students studying from the surrounding villages. The academic results have been commendable with pass percentage of 98%(Year 2009) for 10th standard & 74%(Year 2009) for 12th standard.

The school lacked the basic amenities like sufficient drinking water. It has a sintex water tank of 2000 litre capacity which is not sufficient for the students. Hence the Head Master had requested for an additional water tank to store the water. Helping Minds has provided with Rs. 10000 for additional water tank on 25th February 2010. Our Helping Minds member Devaraj Balakrishnan co-ordinated for this project.
