Mess bills for Hari, Milkkal and Periyasamy - May 2007

For the month of May, HM has paid Rs. 3756 (2 months mess bill Rs. 756, Rs. 900 and exam fees Rs. 2100) for Milkkal on 16 May, Rs. 756 for the mess bill for Hari and Rs. 1650 for the mess bill for Periyasamy on 17 May.

Mess fees and exam fees for Periyasamy

Periyasamy has scored 1119/1200 in 12th, 8.1/10 as average for the last 5 semesters. Periyasamy knows carpentry work and does that in the holidays. He has got the bank loan for the college fees and mess fees. He is paying an interest of around Rs. 700 per month. For this year too, he has got the college fees and the mess fees from the bank as loan. The mess fees was calculated as Rs. 800 per month and given. But for the past few months his mess bills are over Rs. 1200 because of department functions/other reasons. So he has not yet paid the mess fees for past two months (Rs. 2578) and also the exam fees (Rs. 900) and requested us for the same.

When Periyasamy was in first year, he came to us for help. We had approved that request. But he had got the bank loan immediately and hence we did not give any money to him. Periyasamy was referred by Babu, one of our members. Babu is a college senior for Periyasamy.

We have got the xerox copy of all marksheets from him. After a brief discussion with him, we have decided to help him for the pending mess fees and exam fees. We have given two DDs for the same today to him.

Another update: We have given a DD for Rs. 707 for the mess bill for Hari last week.
